You don't mention what trim this car is, So roughly about $260 to replace the 12 volt battery at AutoZone, not including tax. If it's the hybrid battery, that's several thousand dollars. Probably in the neighborhood 4-8 grand, depending on the dealership, If you're playing out of pocket.
The hybrid version functions basically the same as the regular gas version, as far as the end user is concerned. It’s got a 12v battery like most cars but a 2021 shouldn’t be having problems starting, even if it’s been sitting for a while. The 12v battery should last the same 3-5 years it lasts on most cars.

This will charge the hybrid battery which can then continue to charge the 12v battery. If you can do this for 30-60 minutes the engine will come in and switch off 3 or 4 times depending on what’s in the hybrid battery. You need to do this safely, you need to consider being with the car whilst it is in Ready mode for security reasons
I don't drive a lot of miles ~7500 so it offers flexible either way. I heard the hybrid does not have starter or alternator and brakes last 100K--so less maintenance. Hybrid system warranty for 10 years. Flynz, I like the instant throttle response you get with well designed hybrids and EVs.
The production of lithium-ion batteries account for 2 to 5 percent of total lifetime hybrid emissions and nickel-hydride batteries are responsible for higher sulfur oxide emissions, roughly 22 pounds (10 kilograms) per hybrid compared with 2.2 pounds (about 1 kilogram) for a conventional vehicle [sources: Samaras and Burnham et al].
If you buy the lithium battery now you’re getting the newest V2 cells which shouldn’t have the problem that my V1 cells had. MPG in city driving is definitely 20%+ more. The battery rarely gets empty now. So if you do A LOT of city driving like me this is worth looking into. Also, I sold all my old cells on eBay and got like $500 for them all.
The Hybrid batteries last a long time, and why typically Toyota/Lexus give them a 100,000 mile 8 year guarantee. This guarantee can further be extended If you have the car serviced by T/L after the original expires. Included in the service price is a hybrid system check after which the guarantee is extended by 10,000 miles or 1 year.
